Stylebook: Revolutionising the Hair Industry

Sarah Yorke is an inspiring entrepreneur on a mission to revolutionize the hair industry. After 30 years working as a hairdresser and struggling to build up a new client base after moving to a new area, Sarah was determined to create a solution. In 2020, she founded Stylebook, an innovative digital platform for hairdressers and their clients.

Stylebook started as a directory where hairdressers could create a profile to showcase their work and attract new clients. Sarah’s goal was to give stylists a place to market themselves so clients could easily find stylists who matched their needs. Her inspiration came from Auto Trader, where people list cars for sale alongside photos and contact information. Stylebook took off and Sarah soon realized it could also help new hairdressers just starting their careers.

Stylebook Education was born to give hairdressing students a platform to build their portfolios and learn crucial digital marketing skills. Sarah noticed students were encouraged to use public social media platforms with little guidance or oversight. Stylebook Education offers a safe, educational environment where students can promote their work as they learn.

Sarah has ambitious plans for the future of Stylebook. She wants to create teams of rising stars, collaborate with major hair brands, offer cutting courses with top stylists like Andrew Barton, and take Stylebook global. Her goal is for Stylebook to become a household name that connects clients and stylists all over the world.

Sarah is thrilled to see her vision for Stylebook coming to life and helping both new and experienced stylists achieve their dreams. Winning two Startup Awards in 2023, including Business to Business and Rising Star, validated her hard work and groundbreaking idea. Now, she’s a finalist for The Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2023 for StartUp Entrepreneur of the Year. Stylebook is well on its way to revolutionizing how people discover and connect with fashion stylists, one outfit at a time.
