Creasallis, the Cambridge-based antibody solutions company, emerges victorious as Cambridgeshire StartUp of the Year at the East of England StartUp Awards 2023, showcasing their innovative approach to improving cancer treatment

Zahra Jawad founded Creasallis in 2021 with a vision to improve antibody-based cancer treatments and get them to patients faster. Based in Cambridge, Creasallis is an antibody solutions company focused on enhancing the penetration of antibodies into tumours.

Zahra was inspired to start Creasallis due to the limited innovation she observed in the pharmaceutical industry. She aimed to create a company that could accelerate the development of life-saving drugs and provide a healthier work environment. Now in the pre-seed stage, Creasallis plans to grow into a clinical stage company to demonstrate the benefits of their technology to cancer patients.

Zahra is excited about the potential impact of Creasallis.

“We may actually be able to cure cancer in our lifetime! If we all work together to bring our ideas and drugs to the people who need them most,”

she said. Her passion for improving lives through innovation and collaboration is clear.

When Creasallis won the Startup Awards 2023, Zahra said,

“To be recognised for the Startup Awards was just phenomenal. It’s such a huge risk to do what you believe in, and for that passion to be recognised was an awesome feeling.”

The award is validation of Zahra’s vision, hard work, and perseverance in founding a company aimed at revolutionizing cancer treatment.
