Richard Peter and Erica Pugh are revolutionizing the sanitation industry with their company Compo Closet. Founded in 2021, Compo Closet creates sustainable composting toilets aimed at providing safe and eco-friendly sanitation solutions for all.

After installing a composting toilet in his campervan, Richard realized the design could be improved. He teamed up with Erica, a marketing specialist and community builder, to create a new standard of composting toilets. Their mission is to

In just two years, Compo Closet has become a leader in sustainable sanitation. Their innovative composting toilet has been a success in North America, Europe and Australia, allowing more people to live off-grid sustainably. Compo Closet continues improving their offerings while working on “much more ambitious developments around circular sanitation.”
